we had the most glorious stay at the Westward Motel....the place is charming, creative, and well appointed. The beds and bedding with the smell of fresh sun dried linens, pillows beyond description, cool air if you need it, and thick adobe walls that allow for easy sleep. Step out onto the veranda that remains shaded and comfortable during the day, and balmy in the evenings. There is an adorable common kitchen where friends can commune and share meals.

Super genuine place with very impressive and on point interior. Porch, outdoor kitchen and other outside areas also super pleasant. A place worth a huge detour (the Palm Springs motels have nothing on this place). Also: don't miss out on the Cactus bar, just 2 blocks away.
Quaint, rare, caring people and everything worked! Such places are hard to find and with only four rooms, they fill up quickly. You will feel you were a kid again, taking that famous road trip with mom and dad in the 60's. Maybe you are as lucky as I was, who got to sleep in the old Airstream! No water, but power and as I fell asleep the word "COZY" filled my head. Bathroom was across the yard, nicely lit, should I need it at night. In the morning you may get a cup of coffee from Rande or make your own, in the kitchen you remember from that said road trip. I donated a good cleaning fee to Cindy and became friends with Janet and Amy. Not sure if they belong or are passing through. But it's "all in the family" and very, very special.
Like staying at a family members home.

We will never forget our desert oasis at Randes' classic historic motel..this place is more of a destination than a necessity....what a treat!
